Big Cottonwood Canyon

Last month, Marc and I were invited to a wedding in Salt Lake City. Mark (Marc’s former room mate) and his girl friend Annie got married. The wedding was outside of town so in order to get there we had to get a rental car. I love having a car - I actually don’t like cars too much but it’s nice being able to go wherever you want to. So on Sunday we took the car up Big Cottonwood Canyon - one of the canyons in the SLC area. Together with Helena and Soazig, we did a short hike to Willow Heights. It’s a little-known hike to a high meadow and a lake. It was really nice and I enjoyed the beautiful landscape a lot. All these wild flowers were just amazing. We definitely have to do some more hiking this fall.
